    One of our customers met a new friend when they went to test a backflow. Would love to see any photo's you want to share from the field, from bad installations to odd things you have run into.

    Here's a "friend" I made testing a Backflow in Sacramento County the other day. Black widows are very common in CA especially since all of our backflow's are outside and usually have the green "covers" on them which make a great refuge for these spiders. I try and tell everyone I can that in Northern CA the first step in testing a Backflow is find the black widow and kill it!

    I met with the on-site guy...we lifted up a heavy cover plate and there was a big widow...he reaches in and grabs the widow bare handed and squishes it...his comment was, "you gotta get em quick."

    A fellow backflow tester once told me he was bit. Didn't seek immediate medical attention. He wound up being paralyzed on his left side for two weeks!
